Cobb Democrats, remember that CHANGE BEGINS AT HOME! Early voting starts today for School Board, Post 7 and Alison Bartlett is the Democratic candidate in the ballot.   Since it is a special election, no party identification will be on the ballot.  Make sure to tell your friends in Post 7 to vote for Alison. She is a teacher, a mother of 4 Cobb County students, and is a great candidate! This seat has been held by Republicans for too long and it is time for a change. Read more about Alison here.

Democratic Party Monthly Breakfast - September 13 – Come join us for breakfast.  We meet the 2nd Saturday of each month at 9:00am in a casual setting, which allows people to meet their elected officials, candidates, and fellow Democrats. The location is the Piccadilly Cafeteria located at 536 Cobb Parkway in Marietta. Everyone is welcome and the cost is $8 per person for a full buffet and drink if you will be eating. 

North Georgia State Fair - September 18th - September 28th - Volunteers are needed to staff our booth and spread the Democratic Party message.  The North Georgia State Fair takes place at Jim Miller Park in Marietta, located on Callaway Road. You can sign up to volunteer here. 

East Cobber Parade and Festival - September 20 - Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the day. Walk with fellow Obama supporters and the Campaign for Change in the Parade and then volunteer with the Cobb County Democratic Committee at the festival booth.  We have some great local candidates running in East Cobb and they need your support. The parade starts at 10am and the festival runs from 11am to 3pm.

Presidential Debate - September 26 - Watch Senator Barack Obama in the first of a series of Presidential debates live from the University of Mississippi. The debate will focus on foreign policy and national security issues. Other dates include October 7 in Nashville, Tennessee (town hall style) and October 15 in Hempstead, New York (domestic and economic issues). The Vice presidential debate with Senator Joe Biden is October 2 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Get out the Vote Rally - November 1 - Join us at the Marietta Square from 11am - 12pm.  We will hear from the candidates and then hit the streets to speak with voters. More details to come.
