Cobb County is divided into fourteen (14) unique house districts with each having a seat in the Georgia General Assembly. The Georgia General Assembly, the formal title of the state legislature, was formed in 1777 and is older than the United States Congress.  At the time of its origin, the legislature consisted of a single house, but in 1789 it became a bicameral body, consisting of a House of Representatives and a Senate.

The men and women listed below are elected to represent these house districts as District Captains of the Cobb County Democratic Committee. The primary purposes of the District Captains are to keep the districts informed of the many happenings of the county party; to help communicate issues relative to citizens in that district back to their respective elected congressmen; and to help ensure our elected congressman properly represent our Democratic constituents.
