The day is finally here! The Presidential Primary is today, 1 March 2016. We are excited about the Super Tuesday Primary! See below for some important information from both the Democratic Party of GA and the Cobb Board of Elections.
The Cobb NAACP will be providing rides to the polls. Please contact them at 770-425-5757 for assistance.
From the Democratic Party of GA:
If any Georgia voters have any questions or concerns about their polling location, they can:
1) Use the hashtag #gavote411 on Twitter. The DPG will have volunteers monitoring social media.
2) Call the DPG office at 678-278-2016. We have a team standing by to answer the phones and direct folks in the right direction,
3) Click here for the DPG polling place locator.
4) For an Android app to help Spanish-speaking voters, click here.
From the Cobb Board of Elections:
♦ Polls are open on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Those in line to vote at 7 p.m. will still be allowed to cast a ballot. Click here for a list of precincts.
♦ Georgia requires a photo ID to vote, so be sure to have a driver’s license or other form of identification when checking in at a polling location.
♦ On Election Day, voters must cast their ballots at the polling location where they are registered. Visit mvp.sos.ga.gov to see voter registration information, including Election Day polling location, sample ballots and more.
♦ There are more than 100 polling places in the county, many of which are at local schools. If registered to vote at a school, try to avoid voting in the morning during student drop-off or in the afternoon pick-up periods to avoid traffic.
We hope your voting experience will be smooth and easy tomorrow!
Always True Blue,
CCDC Executive Board
