Join your fellow Cobb Democrats in an outing to the Capitol! We will having a morning meet-n-greet with our state legislators and see a presentation on how to lobby your elected officials as a citizen before observing the day’s legislative session in the state House and Senate. A catered lunch will follow provided by the Cobb County Democratic Committee
The Lobby and Culture of the Capitol speaker for the Cobb Democrats Day at the Capitol will be Christopher Bruce, Esq.
Christopher Bruce, Esq. is the Policy Counsel for the ACLU of Georgia. A Georgia native, Chris grew up in Stone Mountain. He graduated Cum Laude from Georgia State University and obtained his law degree from the University of Georgia. He previously worked as an insurance defense attorney before he became the Deputy Campaign Manager for Judge Dax Lopez. Before joining the ACLU of Georgia he was the Deputy Political Director for an Atlanta Mayoral Candidate. He was previously on the Board of Governors of the Red Clay Democrats and is currently an Executive Board Member of the Gate City Bar Association and Executive Board Member of the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers. Bruce is a member of the LEAD Atlanta 2016 class and a recipient of the 2016 Outstanding Atlanta Award.

Please join the Cobb County Democratic Committee as we conduct our 2018 year end review and chart our path forward into 2020. At this meeting, we will also be electing DPG State Committee members. Join the Blue Tide Rising! We have some exciting programs and initiatives you will want to hear about. We need all hands on deck and active in our community. There is something to do for every person.
Non-voting members are allowed to attend and are encouraged to complete the application form to become voting members. We have combined our Membership and Post Seat Holder applications forms, so if you have not renewed your membership now would be an excellent time to do so. If your membership is current, just sign the member declaration, agree to the Post Seat Holder application affirmation, and fill in your name and contact information.
